Abelino Cisneros
July 26, 1952 - January 2, 2022
Abelino Cisneros, 69 years old, passed away on January 2nd with his wife and son by his side after a very long struggle with multiple health issues. Abelino was born on July 26, 1952 to Santiago and Herminia Cisneros, in Chihuahua Mexico. He was the youngest of 7 children. In 1973 Abelino moved to Utah. He worked at several different agricultural jobs throughout his lifetime. In 1980 he met Ruth Montano and they were later married. They shared 2 daughters Trina and Amy. Together they had one son, Travis, who was his best friend later in life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and working outdoors. He was always doing something in the yard or tinkering in the garage. He liked to host BBQs in his back yard and loved seeing his grandchildren running around having fun. Even though he was gruff and tough the grandkids always got their way with him. He had such a soft spot for them. Every year he would go back and visit his family in Mexico, he loved having money in his wallet and dressing up in a nice cowboy hat and boots when he went out. He valued hard work which was a belief he instilled in his kids. Abelino is survived by his wife Ruth, son Travis and daughters Trina (Chad) Jarvis, Amy (Chet) Rasmussen, his sister Lola Gonzalez, 3 grandchildren – Tyler, Alyssa and CJ and one great grandchild, Oaklynn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Elva, four brothers; Ruben, Elio, Jenaro and Dario, and grandson, JC. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 12:00 pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in American Fork, with a Viewing prior to services from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
