Allen Klinefelter

May 29, 1951 - August 9, 2018

Allen Lee Klinefelter 67 died August 9th, 2018 after a long. fight against COPD. He was born in Washington DC May 31st, 1951 the son of Jack and Joyce (Mauck) Klinefelter. Allen lived life of service to others starting at the age of 18 as a volunteer firefighter, he continued fighting fires as a volunteer for 35 years. He became an EMT and is credited with saving several lives and bringing 6 new lives into this world. He was drafted into the Army became an Army Airborne Parachute Rigger Instructor at Fort Lee Virginia. After leaving the Army he served as an enforcement officer in the Petersburg, Virginia Police Department and then joined the Sussex County, VA Sheriff’s Department. He later join his father Jack as a stone mason in Washington, DC. And was elected as president of the Stoner Mason’s Union in Washington, DC Allen had a love of the law and when he was given an opportunity to become a corrections officer moving to Rawlins Wyoming rising a few years later into the position of Major for the facility. Allen was a lifetime member of The Harley Owners Group, he developed a love of Harleys as a motor officer and was able to fulfill his dream of owning his own Harley that he and his wife Patrice were able to travel throughout the beauty of the Western United State. He was a ham radio operator and in his last years loved being able to be part of The Eagle Mountain Emergency Communications Team. Allen was a Forth Degree Knight of Columbus and a member of the Catholic Church. Allen’s greatest love was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Joyce Klinefelter, sister Kathie Reid, a brother Keith Klinefelter and a grandson Joseph Emery. He is survived by his wife Patrice (Champagne); daughters: Nicole Bumcrot, her husband Richard, Laura Smith, her husband Tim, Stephanie Carter, husband Jeremiah, Jennifer Henry, 10 granddaughters. 4 grandsons, a dear brother Gary and his partner in life Lilly, and his sister by love Trava Ruiz. Services will be on Tuesday August 14th at noon at the LDS Church 8732 Desert Canyon Road, Eagle Mountain, UT. It was Allen’s wish to be cremated. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
