Carol Wilcox Beckstrand
July 8, 1938 - January 24, 2013
Carol Wilcox Beckstrand peacefully returned to her heavenly family Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. She was born in Long Beach, CA, during the Great Depression, July 8, 1938, to Ransom A. Wilcox and Ruth M. Wootton. Her family traveled and sacrificed in defense of freedom and the nation. She has been a life-long learner, excelling in English, Spanish, dance, Constitutional studies, real estate, architecture, design, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her learning has always had purpose: the sharing of it. Whether as a real estate coach, writer, Constitutional advocate, dancer, or missionary, her focus has been increasing freedom via enlightenment. An avid genealogist, she traveled to Scotland to research her family history. She has taken great pleasure in sharing family stories and helping others to find theirs. Her earthly family consists of sweetheart and former husband: Thane M Beckstrand of Midvale; Nels and Susan Beckstrand of American Fork; Curtis and Heather Lowry of Tokyo, Japan; Chris and Harlene Beckstrand of South Jordan; Karl Beckstrand of Midvale; a brother David and Jean Wilcox; a sister Debbie and Barry Geer; 13 grandchildren and a grandson-in-law. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 1, at 1:00 p.m. (viewing preceding at 11:30 a.m.), American Fork 12th Ward, 673 E. 300 North, American Fork, UT 84003.
