Mr. Craig Michael Fehr
April 7, 1959 - April 26, 2012
Craig Michael Fehr was born to Robert M. and Frances Stillman Fehr on April 7, 1959. He passed from this world on April 26, 2012. Craig was much loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a kind and gentle soul. He had a way of making everyone he came in contact with feel special. Craig never forgot a birthday or a holiday. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hiking, and rock climbing. Craig was known to pitch a tent and sleep on the balcony of his apartment when camping was not an option. Craig was a graduate of Cottonwood High School where he was a Sterling Scholar in mathematics. Later he attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah. One of Craig’s most proud accomplishments was earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He began his lifelong career in the optical business in manufacturing at Provo Optical. He later became a certified Master Optician while working and managing at The Optical Shop. Both Provo Optical and The Optical Shop were family owned businesses. Craig was a member of OAA and FWCO where he served as President for several years. He was excited about and loved the teaching aspect of serving in this capacity. He was employed with Knighton Optical for a time and most recently, Granger Optical. Craig is survived by his son, Travis Robert Fehr; daughter, Brittany Fehr; parents, Robert M. and Frances Stillman Fehr; sister, Lori Fehr Crockett; and brother, Chris David Fehr. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Diane Harvey Fehr. A Celebration of Craig’s Life will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd, beginning at 6:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm at Noah’s Receptions Center, 322 W. 11000 So., South Jordan, Utah, 84095, Room 300, 801-357-9258.
