Dan Clark Morgan

March 11, 1951 - April 29, 2022

Dan Clark Morgan (71) of Pleasant Grove, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 29th, 2022, from the effects of lung disease (COPD). Dan was able to talk and say goodbye to all of his children, grandchildren and his beloved wife before he passed. He fought a long, hard, brave battle with his illness and his transition to heaven as always in his life, was on his own terms. Dan was born March 11th, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Alfred Ellis Morgan and Merle Evelyn Tims. Dan was raised by his mother and his stepfather Max Williams in Lindon, Utah. Dan had many adventures growing up and often told detailed stories of what it was like to grow up in “the good ol’ days”. Dan graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and went on to take pride in being a hardworking and talented dry wall contractor. Dan married the love of his life Sandy Glover On December 12th, 1987. Together they built a beautiful life, family, and home in Pleasant Grove. Dan was always chasing treasure while hunting, fishing, and camping with family. Dan could fix anything no matter how broken it was he would find a way to fix it. He loved being in his shop at his home where he would tinker and build things like his prized tote goat. Dan had a huge heart and was known to give the shirt off of his back to help anyone in need. He had a great sense of humor full of quick wit. He kept his family laughing until the very, very end. Dan will be greatly missed by many friends and family, but we know he is breathing easy and that he will always be watching over, guiding, and comforting his loved ones with great pride. Dan’s doctors said he was one of the strongest and toughest fighters that that they had ever seen. Special thanks to pulmonologist Dr. Ian Mecham and the ICU care team at American Fork Hospital who provided above and beyond care for Dan. He kept them entertained with his sense of humor until the very end. Dan is survived by his beloved wife Sandy; children: Kimberly (John) Matson, Anna Morgan, Chris (Jennifer) Morgan, Mac Busha, Amber (Marcus) Brooks, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren with two on the way. Dan is also survived by his sisters Doris (Gaylen) Holindrake of American Fork UT, Melba Beams of La Verkin UT, and many nieces and nephews. Dan is preceded in death by his father Alfred Ellis Morgan, his mother and stepfather Merle and Max Williams, brothers Don and Richard Morgan, brother-in-law Lynn Beams and his son Danny Morgan. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 11:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel located at 1106 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
