She was the daughter of Lovell Albert and Hazel Foote Killpack, and the sixth of seven children. Elaine was raised in Provo, Utah, and graduated from Provo High School in 1958. She met the love of her life, Wayne B. Johnson, in her senior year of high school. They were married on March 5, 1959 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They shared a wonderful marriage and celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in March. Elaine was a kind, patient and fun-loving person who enjoyed helping other people without expecting anything in return. She cared deeply for her children and grandchildren, spending many hours of quality time, helping with homework, and teaching life lessons. She was a hard-working mother who also enjoyed working for several years with special needs students as a Teacher's Assistant at Lindon Elementary. She was very talented at cross-stitch, knitting and sewing. Elaine loved to read. She was also a great dog lover all of her life. She enjoyed traveling to various parts of the world and spending time in the mountains and near the ocean. Elaine served in numerous positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including serving in Primary and Relief Society presidencies and numerous teaching and other service related callings. Elaine’s husband, Wayne, served as the Bishop of the Lindon 3rd Ward from 1976 to 1981. She provided great support to Wayne at all times, and especially during that very busy and wonderful time. One of her highlights during that time was she and Wayne leading a trip to Oahu, Hawaii with over forty young women. Elaine is survived by her husband, Wayne B. Johnson, and six children: Corinne Peacock (Bart), Lehi, UT; Scott Johnson (Jenn), Florence, OR; Kevin Johnson (Annette), Lakewood, IL; Matthew Johnson (Staci), Cedar Hills, UT; Cody Johnson, Lindon, UT, and Jennifer Miller (Josh), Midvale, UT. She has 16 grandchildren: Ashley, Kirby, Crystal, Wade, Natalie, Cierra, Tayler, Jordon, Kelsie, Hannah, Cambria, Nolan, Chloe, Carson, Aidan and Mykel. She also has 16 great grandchildren: McKenna, Oakley, Shaylie, KJ, Briggs, Reed, Hudson, Charley, Ruby, Maddix, Carson, Scotty, Wrenley, Makenzie, Addison and Elias. She is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth & Weston Killpack and one sister, Myra Prince. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Lovell and Hazel Killpack, two brothers, Lovell and Garth Killpack, one sister, Marilyn Meldrum and one granddaughter, Crystal Peacock. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am in Lindon City Cemetery, 600 N. 200 E., Lindon, UT. Family, friends and neighbors are invited.
