James "Jim" Hone
November 15, 1928 - April 1, 2014
James "Jim" Carol Hone passed away April 1, 2014 after suffering a stroke. He was born November 15, 1928 to William David and Ruth Irene Hone in Spanish Fork, Utah. Jim served in Japan during WWII. He married Louise Deuel December 7, 1949 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They had 6 children: Lois (Ray) Anderson, James D. (Karen) Hone, Iris Marie Hone, Elva Jean (Brent) Thornton, Lorene (Mike) Robison and Laraine (Chuck) Chamberlain. Jim loved being with his family, hunting, fishing and traveling. He worked as a mechanic, owned Jim’s Texaco and later Jim’s Kamper Sales. Jim is survived by 5 of his children, 22 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and many step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter Iris, one grandson and all his siblings. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11:00 am, at the Hillcrest 4th Ward building, 440 East 800 South in Orem, Utah, where Viewings will be held Sunday, April 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and prior to services on Monday from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment in Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite humanitarian effort. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary
