Jared Sare

May 16, 1965 - July 4, 2020

Jared Christiansen Sare passed away at the age of 55 just after 6am on Saturday July 4, 2020 after suffering from complications from a seizure, as well as a decade battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. He died at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah; surrounded by all five of his children. He was born May 16, 1965 in Santa Clara, California to Gene and Anita Sare. He was a faithful and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of his greatest achievements include first and fore most being a loving husband and father; being married and sealed to the love of his life in the Oakland Temple; graduating from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology; working as a Quality Engineer for over 20 years; obtaining and worthily holding the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthood; serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Porto Alegre, Brazil; as well as serving for many years in many leadership positions in his church. Jared had a happy, playful demeanor and loved life. He was always active in sports and outdoor activities like camping, skiing, football and soccer. He was involved in all of his children’s lives and volunteered as a soccer coach for over 15 years. He enjoyed 80’s music, playing the drums, working on his train set, playing board games, online games, writing books and creating games. He was extremely talented and creative. He loved nature landscapes, the night sky and cloud formations. He loved spending quality time with his family, laughing and joking. He emulated God’s first two commandments: to love the Lord with all his heart and to love one another as [God] loves us. Jared lived his life always striving to be a better man. He loved his family more than anything and was always putting others before himself. He is survived by his children Shanna and Matt Ocon, Ryan and Ashley Sare, Alyssa and Cameron Lantz, Matthew Sare, and Megann Sare; grandchildren Makenzie, Benjamin, Ashlyn, Jacob, Owen, Liam, Brooklyn, and Bailey: step mother Kathy Sare; and siblings Shauna Little, David Sare, and Erin Bishop. He is preceded in death by his wife Alayne Sare, mother Anita Sare, father Gene Sare, and brother Patrick McCoy. A Viewing will be held Friday, July 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Utah Valley Mortuary, 1966 West 700 North, Lindon, Utah. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, July 11th at 10:00 am at the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East, Lehi, Utah. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary
