John David Snideman
March 11, 1970 - February 1, 2017
John David Snideman, 46, passed away early in the morning of February 1st, 2017, with family close by. He died unexpectedly from complications of acute pneumonia and a body riddled with sepsis. He was born March 11, 1970 in Murray, Utah. The first, and only son of John Francis Snideman and Donna Yvonette Trevillion. He was surrounded by adoring sisters; three older, three younger, Linda Snideman, Carol (Scott) Rice, Diana (Corey) Reece, Susan (Patrick) Barnes, Lisa (John) Bowen, Debra Jeanne Snideman - and all of them loved being close to David. He grew up loving the mountains, and all that goes with it. His son, John Ammon Snideman (mother Michelle Twitchell-Nelson) remembers, “He taught me how to tie a tie, how to camp, how to shoot. He taught me how to ride my first dirt bike, how to fight, how to pitch a tent, how to fish, how to start a fire and taught me everything else a good father teaches their son. I loved him not only as my father but as a best friend.” David was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed building and fixing things, and was a charming salesman, who owned his own meat delivery service. He was one to seek knowledge and educate himself endlessly. He especially enjoyed reading the Bible and Book of Mormon – he knew the stories and doctrines well and loved to share insights and things he was learning. David had the indomitable spirit of a captain, and persevered nobly in his never-ending desire to love his family and Savior purely, completely. His nephews and nieces will miss their Uncle Dude. (Amanda Wood, Sarah Mansfield, Corey Nemelka, Jessica Nemelka, Alesha Nemelka, Brady Rice, Brooke Hall, Abram Rice, Abrianna Rice, Andrew Rice, Chelsea Udell, John Horton, Jacob Reece, Hayden Barnes, Hannah Barnes (deceased), Keagan Barnes, Ciara Barnes, Liam Barnes, Mitchell Bowen, Kayla Bowen and Amber (Emma) Bowen). He was loved by many friends and family for his giving nature, sense of adventure and example of never giving up. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
