Jozette Jayne Swensen

July 9, 1950 - April 18, 2022

Our beautiful mother, Jozette Jayne Richardson Swensen, was born to Jed and Dorothy Richardson in Logan, Utah, on July 9th 1950. She passed away at home in Orem Utah, on April 18th 2022, at the age of 71. She married Keith Swensen on March 17th 1970 at the Salt Lake Temple, Keith and Jozette had six children: Adam, Cindy (Bracken), Blaine, Bryan, Jed and Cassy (Bunting). One of Jozette's many gifts was her genuine and deep love for the little ones and particularly those that needed it the most. She ran a day care center for years and was truly invested in the joy and care of children. She was an incredibly talented musician and encouraged and supported her children in every way musically. Many do not know, but she was a lovely poet, her written words are her most authentic expressions and so very beautiful. She absolutely loved an underdog and could be appropriately irreverent. She was a prolific seamstress and loved giving. There are countless other talents and joys to share, everyone has their own experience with her. She had a million ideas and accomplished so many of them. She is a force that felt deeply. She will be missed by so many. Jozette is preceded in death by her parents and sibling Lynda Cheree Richardson. Survived by her husband Keith Swensen, her siblings: Melvin Richardson, Janny O'Day, Jay Richardson, Jed Richardson, Claire Scharmer and Jessica Acero; her children, Adam Swensen, Cindy Bracken, Blaine Swensen, Bryan Swensen, Jed Swensen and Cassy Bunting, as well as 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 27th, at 11:00 a.m., at the Orchard 7th Ward chapel located at 810 East 600 North, Orem, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment at Orem City Cemetery.
