LaMar Pace
September 24, 1952 - March 21, 2014
LaMar Pace, 61, peacefully returned to our Heavenly Father on March 21, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 24,1952 to Ron Clements and Juanita Pace. He was adopted by George and Emma Pace and grew up in American Fork and Lehi Utah. He married the love of his life, Amy Darlene Johnson, on April 1st 1972. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple in August 1980. His biggest enjoyment in life was spending time with family, friends, and his grandkids. He enjoyed taking photos and working on genealogy. He worked in the transmission business for forty-five years and owned LaMars Transmissions. He also enjoyed working and building computers. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene; four children, Martin (Darbie) Pace, Amy (David) Linder, Jeremy (Krysta) Pace, Jessica Pace (Kreg); 11 grandchildren; second mother, Viola Clements; brothers, Brian, Marvin, Jay and Ron Clements, and Paul, Wes, George Johnson; sisters, Ruth Madsen and Tammy Cox. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served as a High Priest. He also worked at the Family History Center for years where he enjoyed teaching and training others. At this time the Pace family would like to thank IHC home health care for their great loving care, kindness and service to our family and LaMar. A Viewing will be held Monday, March 24th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Lindon 8th Ward Chapel, 250 West 600 South, Lindon, UT (aka 1030 W. 1600 N., Orem), where Funeral Services will also be held on Tuesday, March 25th, at 11:00 am with a Viewing held prior from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment in Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 N. 650 E., Provo, UT. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
