Mr. Larry Reid Fearneyhough
December 2, 1947 - April 24, 2012
Larry Reid Fearneyhough, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born December 2, 1947, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Wilbur Reid Fearneyhough and Rachel “Bonnie” Yvonne Mileur Fearneyhough. Larry spent his growing up years in Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Alhambra High School. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. He attended Brigham Young University. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Military Police. He worked for the State Developmental Center in American Fork, UT, and later was with the State Mental Hospital in Provo, UT. He spent 10 years at Wirthlin Worldwide. Larry loved his family and was a wonderful uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He loved his dog Molly! He was very involved with family history work. This led him to becoming the man behind the video camera at family events. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was in the church choir and took music very seriously. He loved the Gospel and enjoyed reading the scriptures. He worked to apply these teachings in his every day life. Larry always maintained a great sense of humor. He enjoyed comedies from the 40’s and 50’s. Those who knew him could call him a true friend. He was an avid bubblegum collector. Larry’s family would like to thank the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Heritage Care Center in American Fork, and as well as Harmony Home Health & Hospice. Larry is survived by his mother, Rachel of Provo, UT; brothers, Bill (Robin) of Tucson, AZ and John (Diane) of Payson, UT; nieces, Patty, Stephanie, Missee, Bethany and Sara; nephews, Johnny and Robby; great nieces, Ailie, Zylee and Rachel; a great nephew; Marlynn. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 12:30 pm at the Provo Freedom 1st Ward, 880 S. Freedom Boulevard (200 West), Provo, UT, where a Viewing will be held that same morning from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. Interment in Utah Veterans Memorial Park with Military Honors, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Riverton, UT. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary
