Maxine Swarts

March 14, 1937 - July 16, 2019

Our Beloved Garden Keeper Maxine Swarts, at the age of 82 was called to serve In Heaven's Garden. She was surrounded by her most precious flowerets when she accepted the call on July 16, 2019. Maxine was born to Charley and Evelyn Swarts on March 14, 1937 at their home in Tridell, Utah. She joined her brother Norman and three sisters followed, Joan, Rae and Fern. She loved helping to care for her sisters, she learned to be a great cook and many other skills from her Mom. She loved fishing with her family and had many great "fishing tales" to share with others. She married Ardell Harris in August of 1955, and to their garden they added five offshoots, Tonia, Terry, Brent, Twila and Barbara. As a family they really enjoyed fishing and camping together. They divorced in 1967. She was remarried in 1968 to Theodore Lindsey, he had four children. They enjoyed travelling and rock hunting together. They ran a cafe in Etna Wyoming. They were divorced in 1992. Maxine worked as a waitress/cook at Maple Lanes for many years. She also worked at Signetics in Quality Control. She loved gardening, fishing, rock hunting, exploring ghost towns, sky watching, reading, painting, writing, and loved to crochet. She loved sharing her many skills with others such as genealogy, home canning, cooking, rock polishing, gardening honestly anything she could to enlighten others with. she always enjoyed learning things. One of her big bragging points of late was the honor of playing Xbox, Minecraft and Ark with four generations and her beloved niece. She looked forward to family reunions, game and movie days. She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she loved her Temple and genealogy work, and was very saddened when it became too difficult for her to attend the services due to the use of perfumes and colognes. Her genealogy worke was shared with all who would listen. She enjoyed bowling in leagues, and going to State and National Tournaments. She was a member of the Timpanogos Rock and Gem Club for many years and enjoyed adventures with them. Her greatest pleasure in her life was spending time in her garden of life, being with her children, she loved to be of service to them, in whatever capacity needed, she loved her many offshoots and loved helping all her generations sprouts to grow and thrive. She was loved by almost everyone she met. Maxine is survived by her offshoots (children) Tonia Nebeker (Eric), Terry Ardell Harris (JoeJoe Tsang), Brent Swarts Harris (Pearl), Twila Steed (Linden), Barbara Hyde (Aaron). 16 tiny sprouts (grandchildren), 19 tiny sprouts (great grandchildren) and 14 tiny tiny sprouts (great-great grandchildren. And let's not forget all the grand-furbabies who she loves and they love her. She was reunited with her dad and mother, Charley and Evelyn; her brother, Norman; sister Rae; all her grandparents; many uncles and aunts and her precious grandson, Derick.
