Reed Lassen Peterson
August 6, 1934 - September 4, 2016
Reed Lassen Peterson, age 82 passed away, Sunday, September 4, 2016 at his home in Pleasant Grove. He was born August 6, 1934 in Manti, UT, the 4th of 5 boys born to Alma C. and Mary Rust Peterson. Reed grew up in Manti and loved working on his family's farm. He attended school in Manti and graduated from Manti High School. He then attended Snow College, in Ephraim, UT, graduating with an Associates Degree. After College he worked in an upholstery factory in Provo, UT and that is where he met his wife, Rosalinda Kramer. They were married on May 24, 1958 in Manti, UT and a year later they were sealed on October 28, 1959 in the Manti LDS Temple. Reed worked at the Utah State Mental Hospital in Provo for over 30 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. He loved to tinker with cars and electronics. He also did carpentry work in his younger years. Reed was a collector of coins, cards and stamps, he also loved watching old and new movies. Reed loved his family and being in the mountains. Reed is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rosalinda Peterson, children, Kathryn (Steven) Frary, Debra (Jay) Fletcher, Kyle (Amy) Peterson and Bryan (Shannon Corbett) Peterson, 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemary, parents, Alma and Mary, four brothers, Hal, Bart, Kay and Ray and son-in-law, Steven Frary. A Celebration of his life will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 12 noon at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 600 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, with a viewing Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Battle Creek 6th Ward building, 825 Loader Avenue, Pleasant Grove. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
