Mr. Ryan David Jordan

November 7, 1972 - September 15, 2011

Ryan David Jordan, age 38, died of natural causes on Thursday, September 15, 2011, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was born November 7, 1972 in Provo, Utah, the beloved youngest child of Kenneth Paul and Robynn Diane O’Reilly Jordan. He grew up in Orem and attended Orem High School and Utah Valley University. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Jasmine Stoll in 1991. They later divorced, but are the parents of two sons. He married Charity Pratt on June 3, 1995; their marriage was later solemnized in the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple. They are the parents of three sons. Ryan was expecting his first grandchild later this month. Ryan enjoyed camping, gardening, and playing sports with his brothers. He adored his children; they were the light of his life. Family was his greatest joy. He loved gatherings and celebrations and he enjoyed feeding people good food. He was an accomplished cook, and had worked with a variety of local eateries and caterers. Ryan is survived by his wife, Charity; five sons, Christian and wife Kati, Alec, Forrest, River, and Cirrus; father, K. Paul (Judy) Jordan, New Harmony, Utah; one brother, Chris (Jenni) Jordan, St. George, Utah; three sisters, Shannon (Terry) Backus, Manti, Utah, Heather (David) Hunt, New Meadows, Idaho, Lara (Christian) Butler, Gilbert, Arizona; sister-in-law, Jade Lee, Orem, Utah, and many other family members. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Robynn; two brothers, Kenneth and Shawn; and a nephew, Carson Backus. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 19, 2011, at 12:00 noon, at the LDS Chapel located at 445 S. 700 E. Orem, Utah. Viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. “Crossed to safety” but cherished forever in our hearts. Ryan, we will always love and miss you.
