Sheryl Sibley
November 10, 1942 - March 2, 2015
Sheryl Mainord Sibley- mother, grandmother, artist, and a lifelong advocate for special needs children passed away on March 2, 2015. She was born November 10, 1942. Her parents were Jean and Clint West. After receiving a degree in community mental health from Brigham Young University, Sheryl went on to found one of the first facilities that specialized in providing animal therapy to special needs children called Shadowbrook Farm. Her programs were instrumental in establishing similar facilities at the national level. She contributed to the community through various programs designed to support Veteran’s and people living with mental health issues. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved music and served many years in Utah and New Hampshire in various musical callings in church. She survived by her three daughters; Melinda Elwood of Seattle, WA, Laurie Rowley of San Francisco, CA, and Molly Vaillincourt of New Hampshire. She has 8 grandchildren, Haley 23, Alex 23, JohnTaylor 15, Claire 12, Lillian 12, Isabelle 10, Sophia 7, Adam 3 and a great granddaughter Henley 1.
