Terrence Kok Keung Lo

July 26, 1951 - April 29, 2022

Terrence Kok Keung Lo, 70 – Dad, Grandfather, Uncle – died peacefully on April 29, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. His year-long battle with bile duct cancer took him from this life to another to live without pain and sorrow. Terrence was born and raised in Hong Kong. His parents died when he was young and Terrence took on the responsibility of caring for his brothers and sisters. He met his beautiful wife, Helena, through a mutual friendship and married her in 1975. They had one son, Raymond, in 1977. In Hong Kong, Terrence worked as a jeweler and crafted many handsome pieces. He was tasked with setting a brooch that was given to Prime Minister Thatcher as a gift from Hong Kong. In 1996, Terrence and his family immigrated to the United States of America in search of a better life. He sacrificed much to give his son the opportunities he never had. Terrence took a job has a cook in the state mental hospital where many years later he was awarded the Governor’s Award of Excellence for his outstanding work in public service. Terrence was an amazing man, a hardworking man, a man who gave freely of his time and talents. He was a family man who loved deeply; his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them, cooking for them, taking walks with his granddaughters and building Legos with his grandson. He will be remembered fondly and missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife; Helena, his son and daughter in-law Raymond and Emigh; Granddaughters; Olivia and Sophie, Grandson; Jameson, Sisters; Kok Ching and Kok Ling and Brother; Kok Man. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6 at 10:00 am in the Utah Valley Mortuary, 1966 West 700 North, Lindon. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 7-8:30 pm. Interment will be held at Orem Cemetery.
