Verlie Susan Howser

September 18, 1947 - September 25, 2021

Verlie Susan Christian Howser passed away at home surrounded by her family September 25, 2021. Verlie was born September 18, 1947 in San Diego, California to Jack Hill Christian and Virginia Alicia Huff. She was the eldest of 4 siblings. Verlie graduated from Camarillo High School in 1965. Verlie married Alan William Howser January 31, 1984 and was sealed to Alan and their five children in the Los Angeles, California temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on January 31, 1989. Known as “Squirrly Verlie” to many, Verlie was known for her love of country music, walks on the beach, and her willingness for a food fight anytime, anywhere. Verlie’s favorite occupations were working as a CNA and running her in-home daycare. Verlie loves two cities; Ventura, California and Provo, Utah. Both cities have given her wonderful memories with her family and lifelong friends. Verlie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Alan Howser, her children Meredith Alfaro (Oliver), Bryan Howser, Meagan Graybill (Orin), Zachary Howser, Levi Howser (Sharron), and 12 grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Jeff Christian (Nora) and Cynthia Christian (Ed). She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Craig Christian. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 2nd, at 11:00 am, at the Lakeside 7th Ward located at 2225 West 620 North, Provo, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment in Provo City Cemetery.
