Vivian Theo Anderson Miller, age 81, died Friday, August 7, 2020 in Orem, Utah. She was born the sixth child of Richard Morse Anderson and Vivian Clara Wright Anderson on May 2, 1939 in Provo, Utah. She went by her middle name Theo in childhood. A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 11:00 -11:30 a.m. at Utah Valley Mortuary, 1966 West 700 North, Lindon, Utah, with Covid 19 restrictions determining numbers. A Graveside Funeral and Memorial service at Provo City Cemetery will begin at 12:00 p.m. Vivian married Webster Hoover (Neb) Miller May 31, 1957 in Provo, Utah and lived in the San Jose, California area for 19 years. Their marriage was solemnized in the Oakland California Temple December 16, 1972. Two sons were born in California: Robert Fenton Miller and Richard Hoover Miller. Neb and Vivian moved back to Utah in 1976 and lived in Lindon. In California Vivian developed a deep love for small children as a nursery school teacher. Later in Utah she worked over twenty years as a coder in the medical records department at American Fork Hospital. Vivian and husband Neb devoted years of service as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They served together as ordinance workers in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple and later traveled many winters to serve in the St. George Utah Temple, living in the temple apartments. In autumn 2002 they traveled to serve eighteen months in the Philippines San Pablo Mission. Vivian loved serving. She served in presidencies and a variety of other Church callings. Her love extended to all ages. She was especially drawn to the most vulnerable - the youngest and the oldest. She was constantly finding ways to uplift and show love to them. Talents and hobbies included knitting, crocheting, tole painting, jigsaw puzzles, coin collecting; all of which was to the benefit of those who received gifts from her willingness to share. Her humanitarian efforts also exemplified her kindness and love for others. And Vivian loved dancing – tap, ballet and ballroom. Preceding Vivian in death were her parents Richard and Vivian Anderson. Brothers: Richard Wright Anderson, Bill J. (Norma) Anderson, L. Roy (Rita) Anderson. Sisters: Edith Elaine Anderson and Evelyn Jeannine Anderson Bush (Wayne); another sister-in-law Shirley Anderson; and great-grandson Tanner Beckett Gasser. Survivors include her husband Neb Miller, sons Robert (Diane) Miller and Richard (Mia) Miller. Grandchildren: Ben Miller, Andrea Gasser, Nathan Miller, Chantelle Payne, Logan Miller, Kallao Miller, Macaulay Miller, Kaono Miller and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother, Michiel M. Anderson; sister, Kathleen Dian Anderson Moore (Gordon). Also beloved nieces and nephews, spouses of grandchildren and extended family (Anderson, Wright and Miller) and friends. Vivian was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a stranger to few and a friend to all. She loved people. She loved life. She loved her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ and knew they loved her. She wrote “Look up, Look up and count your blessings one by one. Remember, He loves you, God’s only Begotten Son. If we always serve Him, in each and every way, We’ll return to our Father, and live with Him someday.” Until we meet again, dear Vivian know you are loved and will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Aid or the Parkinson's Foundation. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary
