Bruce Rasmussen
September 24, 1939 - September 3, 2014
Bruce Owen Rasmussen, 74, passed away in his home on September 3, 2014. He was born to Owen Yunker and Lillian Vevers Clarkson Rasmussen on September 24, 1939, in Tremonton, Utah. He served a full time LDS mission to the Central Atlantic States and graduated from LDS Business College with an Associates Degree in Accounting. Bruce married Rose Marie Cameron on July 31, 1964, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and retired from Thanksgiving Point as an Accountant. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served throughout his life in many callings, which include: Elders Quorum, Sunday School, Bishopric and the Mount Timpanogos Temple. He loved spending time with his family, serving and listening to others, playing softball, country music, farming, reading, and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 50 years; children: Kristine (Dan), Anne (Kyle), Robert (Deana) and 18 grandchildren. Siblings: Leon (Linda), Judy, Gary (Margie) and Rue (Marilyn). He was preceded in death by an infant daughter (Kathryn), his parents, a brother (Niles) and a brother-in-law (Jerry). Funeral services for Bruce will be held Monday, September 8th, at 11:00 am, at Highland 31st Ward, 11162 North Alpine Highway (5300 W.), Highland, Utah, where Visitations will be held Sunday, September 7th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, and prior to services on Monday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment in Highland City Cemetery, 6100 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
