Jennie Mae Taylor

November 18, 1920 - January 30, 2014

Jennie Mae Taylor, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away January 30, 2014 at the age of 93. She was born in Onida, South Dakota on November 18, 1920 to Earl and Florence Allison. She moved with her family to Long Beach, California in 1933 where she had a fun filled life with her many siblings and friends. She met her future husband, Clifford “Jack” Glen Taylor while attending Jordan High School. They were married January 24, 1942 in Las Vegas before Jack left to serve his country. They were later sealed as an eternal family on June 16, 1962 in the Los Angeles Temple. After Jack returned, they settled into their lives in Long Beach. After fourteen years of marriage, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Scott, and seven years later their daughter, Brenda, joined the family. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. She had a deep gratitude for all of the blessings she received through our Savior, Jesus Christ. She served in many different callings, touching many lives. She also loved to camp, paint, and most of all, spend time with her family. After Jack’s passing she moved to Cedar Hills, Utah to live with Scott’s family who loved being able to have her with them. She loved watching the snow fall and the beautiful mountains. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, 7 brothers and sisters, and great-granddaughter, Tricia. She is survived by her son, Scott (Patty), 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Her family feels blessed to have had her in their lives for so many years. Her funeral services will be held, Sunday, February 9th at 5:00 pm at the LDS church at 441 South Fairmont Boulevard in Anaheim Hills, California. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Interment will be at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California, Monday, February 10th.
