She is survived by her daughters Jennifer (James and children) Freeman, Melanie (Timothy and children) Toth, and Cindy (Jarom and children) Smith, her brother Ted Faucher, and many cousins and extended family members whom she dearly loved. Leslie was loved by all who knew her. She spent her life serving and caring for others. Leslie was a certified Emergency Medical Technician, an active member of the community CERT team (Community Emergency Response Team), tutored reading skills to numerous children both in school and privately in multiple states, assisted with the creation of the Escondido El Caballo Park, and had an active role in the West Hillside Neighborhood Group in Escondido, CA. Leslie was an Academic Department Assistant at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. She retired in 2007. She was a highly valued employee, serving the Mathematics Department and the Chemistry, Physics & Engineering Departments. She worked with the Board of Governors, college President, various Deans and the Union in dispute resolution issues, writing manuals for the college, and hiring committees. She was always the shoulder to cry on for frustrated students, faculty, and staff. Everyone loved and appreciated Leslie! Leslie loved music and was proficient playing the piano and organ. She created a Family Christmas Program which she presented with her daughters when they were young, performing for schools, family, friends and neighbors. When she came to UT she included neighborhood children into an adapted version of this Christmas program and shared it locally with family and friends. She composed and arranged music for piano and other instruments. She served in many church callings, including many music-service callings. Leslie always said that her greatest joy in life was her daughters. She hoped that it would be said of her that she always kept trying. Leslie is dearly loved! Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary
