Shane Rosenberg

February 8, 1966 - December 4, 2017

Shane Rosenberg was born in Cedar City, Utah on February 8, 1966 to LaRue P. Rosenberg, and Robert Jo Rosenberg.  He passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 after several months battling brain cancer.   Shane attended High school at Las Vegas High School, BYU in Provo Utah, and completed his graduate studies at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.  Shane was very active in sports from an early age, and continued to enjoy competing in his adult years.  He has a very strong faith in the power of service.  He chose a career in Physical Therapy, which has allowed him to offer help to people all over the world.  He worked as a physical therapy aide at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo during his years at BYU and then returned to UVRMC after he was licensed as a physical therapist in 1996.  Because of the opportunities that physical therapy opened to him, he has been able to treat countless numbers of patients, inpatient, outpatient and home health. In 2008, he began working in association with the Wheelchair Initiative for the LDS church.  As a wheelchair seating specialist, he helped to write the curriculum for the training program that is used in the distribution of wheelchairs throughout the world.  He had the privilege of going on assignments to the Dominican Republic, Belarus, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Ghana, Lebanon, Jamaica, and probably other areas which we cannot remember.   Shane served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints in the Indiana Indianapolis mission.  He has remained faithful in the LDS church throughout his life and has loved the opportunities to help others that this has given to him.   Shane married Tana Kauffman in the LDS Las Vegas Nevada temple in 1990 and together they have had 5 children.  Kaisa (Drew) Ludwig, Leksi (Ty) Skousen, Teija, Marin, and Miles.  He was well known for his sense of humor and his outgoing and friendly way of interacting with others.  His example of dedication and service continues to be a blessing in the lives of everyone who knows him.   Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 9th at 11:00 am at the Spring Creek South Stake Center, 400 North 400 East, Springville, Utah. Interment in Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah. Funeral Directors: Utah Valley Mortuary.
